Awesome stuff! You earned that descent for sure. The Rudicon eats, but still needs to be properly fed. Looking forward to the follow-up video.
Also fantastic use of video stabilization. I don't think it's ever come into its own like this time. It really shows how much the ground tilts much better than a fixed camera would where you'd have to observe the horizon through the windows. Did you shoot 360 or gimbal an ordinary camera?
And yeah, anyone who hasn't yet been to southern Utah, you need to go. If you're into nature (from inside a car or outside doesn't matter), it's intense. Not just that half of the ground is vertical - I've never been blown away (figuratively by the sky and ground being red orange fire and literally by the gusts) during a rainstorm until I went there.
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, we used a 360 cam, and kept the horizon level to illustrate just how uneven the terrain was. The weather was pretty sketchy the first couple of days! I thought tumbleweeds were just on Looney Tunes before I first went to the desert.
That looked, to use your word, harrowing. I’ve seen Matt’s Off-road Recovery sparsely (he may have helped Eric from BCPOV?? I dunno) but will subscribe now. The counterpart, rock-crawl driver rides mtb, is something this video made me think about before you announced it was going to happen. What a great part of the American Opportunity you’ve followed.
Great video! Makes me miss my old '98 XJ. Had some great offroad adventures in that thing. But I will say the pucker-factor goes up exponentially when you're wheeling your daily driver!

There is *so much* in Looney Tunes that I never thought of as real until I went to Arizona and Utah.
Man, I’m so glad you didn’t roll the Jeep over onto your bike!
What a uniquely beautiful place Utah is. That seemed like so much fun. Really cool that Rudy invited you out to do it.
It was an event to remember for sure!

That was fascinating! Really like the narration, like your older videos, makes me realize I miss some of that.

Loved this. Hope you had a blast with Rudy. Can’t wait to see the biking video with you and Matt.
