Dallas, Texas. It’s a great city for a lot of things, but it didn’t seem to rank really well for bikes. So, Seth headed out with his Brompton in tow to check out what the city, ranked 50th in bike-ability out of a list of 50 cities for bike commuting, is really like to pedal around.
To me, Dallas resembles many other cities in America. Its infrastructure was built for horseless carriages, not bicycles. However, like any reasonable city in the States, there seem to be some efforts to make the city more bicycle commuter-friendly. Are they truly making a difference? Are they just causing a bit of extra confusion? Is Dallas in the middle of a bicycle commuting renaissance?
It’s a question I often ask in my own mind…why isn’t it better? What’s so difficult
