Cargo bikes are becoming more and more popular across the world for a variety of reasons. It seems that anyone who rides one loves it, and once someone becomes a cargo bike owner, it’s rare to see them part with it…unless, of course, it’s to get another cargo bike. Whether the cargo is on the back or on the front, these bikes stand out from the standard bicycle, and for good reason. They’re huge and designed to carry multiple people and, of course, lots of cargo.

The concept is nothing new - pedicabs or rickshaws have been around for over a century, and you’ve likely seen one if you’ve ever visited a major city anywhere in the world. They’re practical, affordable, and far less complicated than a car. They don’t take gas and can haul people and materials farther than anyone can by foot. The modern cargo bike isn’t all that different in a basic sense… However, just like anything, there’s always someone pushing the limits.
